The importing problem is rarely sourcing alone
For UAE and GCC buyers, the challenge is often what happens after the supplier is found:

Suppliers want payment upfront.

Customers pay later, which strains cash flow.

Limited origin options reduce availability and continuity.

Coordination across WhatsApp, email, calls, and documents slows everything down.
What Global Fulfilment does
We help UAE/GCC distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers, and selected farms source fresh produce internationally with less friction and more control.
One team for the full sourcing journey.
Turn upfront supplier pressure into flexible payment terms
International suppliers want to be paid before or as goods arrive, while your customers pay weeks later. Our approved payment support bridges that gap: Supplier payment is arranged according to the agreed transaction structure, and you get up to 60 days to pay, keeping more working capital free for operations.

Access more origins without increasing your workload
A narrow supplier network makes you vulnerable to price swings, origin disruptions, and stock‑outs. Global Fulfilment connects UAE and GCC buyers to vetted suppliers across multiple origins and handles pricing, terms, documentation, and follow‑up so you can expand sourcing without expanding your team.

One team to manage all the moving parts
Imports often break down in the gaps between people, channels, and time zones. Instead of chasing WhatsApp, email, and calls, you hand the flow to us — we coordinate suppliers, shipments, documents, timelines, and issues so your team can focus on sales and operations, not firefighting every container.

Illustrative Use Case
Weekly Mixed Vegetables Imports From Europe
A European exporter aggregates mixed vegetables from multiple EU origins and ships around AED 100K of produce every week to a UAE importer. Global Fulfilment manages supplier matching, terms alignment, documentation, and invoice financing so the exporter is paid on arrival and the importer has time to collect locally — keeping shelves stocked and supply stable across changing origins.

European Produce Supply for UAE Distributor
A European export partner aggregates fresh produce from multiple origins across Europe and ships weekly to a UAE-based distributor. Through Watermelon Global Fulfillment, the distributor gains access to a wider supplier network, smoother coordination, and more consistent product availability without managing every supplier relationship directly.

Mixed Vegetables Supply From Europe to UAE
One of our European exporters aggregates mixed vegetables from across Europe and exports around AED 100K worth of produce weekly to a local importer in the UAE, with Watermelon supporting the connection, coordination, and sourcing flow to help secure consistent supply from multiple origins.

FAQs
What does Watermelon actually do in the transaction, and who is the importer of record?
In most transactions, you remain the importer of record. Watermelon facilitates the process: we coordinate between you and international suppliers, manage documentation, and bridge payment terms. We generally don’t take ownership of the goods. Some transactions are structured on a back-to-back basis, where Watermelon’s trading entity sits in the commercial chain to make the payment bridge work. When that applies, we confirm it with you upfront as part of the deal terms, so you always know who holds title at each stage.
Who arranges logistics and customs clearance?
Your supplier arranges logistics and export documentation from the origin. You, or your customs broker, handle import customs clearance in the UAE. Watermelon coordinates communication and documentation flow between both sides so nothing falls through the gap between origin and arrival.
Who is responsible for quality inspection and claims?
Quality inspection on arrival and any customs-related claims are the buyer’s responsibility. Watermelon supports the process by keeping documentation and supplier communication organized, which makes it easier to raise and resolve a claim when one comes up.
How does the payment support work, and what is "up to 60 days" calculated from?
For qualified accounts, we pay your international supplier on delivery. You then settle with us within up to 60 days, calculated from the date we pay your supplier. This means you’re not forced to wire money upfront before goods arrive.
How is payment eligibility assessed?
Eligibility is assessed per account, based on factors like your import history, order volume, and documentation. Get in touch and we’ll walk you through what qualifies for your business.
Do I have to stop working with my existing suppliers?
Not at all. We complement your existing supplier relationships by giving you access to additional origins and backup supply. Think of us as an extension of your sourcing network, not a replacement.
What is the minimum order or ticket size?
Global Fulfillment is designed for commercial volumes. Get in touch and share what you’re looking to source, we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a fit.
What categories and origins do you cover?
We’re currently active in fresh fruits and vegetables, sourced from a range of international origins. Other categories are in progress and will be added as we complete the necessary regulatory approvals.
Are there fees or other costs involved?
Yes, fees vary by transaction depending on volume, origin, and the payment terms structure. We’ll walk you through the full cost breakdown, including any third-party costs, before you commit to anything.
How is this different from using a freight forwarder?
A freight forwarder moves goods, that’s it. Watermelon facilitates the sourcing side of the process: finding the right international supplier, coordinating documentation, managing communication, and bridging payment terms. Logistics and customs clearance still sit with your supplier and your customs broker as usual; we’re the layer that makes the sourcing and payment side of that chain work smoothly.
